Link REIT appoints former BlackRock Asia Pacific real estate head John Saunders group CIO
He has over three decades of experience in the real estate industry with a strong financial investment track record, most just recently at BlackRock where he also served as international head of the property consumer business.
Saunders, that will take over the place from March 4 next year, is going to be accountable for Link’s total investment techniques, profile administration and the critical project of Link’s financial investment business. He will inform to George Hongchoy, Link’s CEO.
He joined BlackRock via its merger with MGPA in 2013 when he was the firm’s chief executive officer of Asia and the account executive of their Asian Property Funds collection. Before taking part in MGPA, he helped CLSA between 1999 and 2007, managing their local property research study initiative and was important in commencing their Asian Property Fund in which he functioned as a financial investment committee affiliate.
Units in Link REIT finalized unchanged at HK$ 42.55 ($7.25) on the HKEX on Dec 20.
Hong-Kong listed Link REIT has revealed the appointment of BlackRock’s previous Asia Pacific property chief John Saunders as team chief investment officer (CIO) in the newly made duty.
Long before that, he operated at Hongkong Land from 1994 to 1998 wherein he was involved with the innovation and leasing of numerous site projects in Singapore and some other Asian nations.
“We are delighted to invite John, who carries with him a wide range of experience and industry capability, to the Link family group. The appointment will certainly enhance the extent and capability of our managing team and will strengthen our ability as we search for new development approaches and sustainable returns for unitholders following the Link 3.0 method,” says Hongchoy.
